This is an abbreviated version of the newsletter, just containing alumni news; for the complete newsletter (pdf), just click here.

February 8th saw the first ever EEP–related film premier when EEP alum, commercial actor and director GJ Echternkamp’96 first full length feature film, "Frank and Cindy, a documentary" premiered at the Fine Arts Theater on Wilshire in Beverly Hills 9:00pm to midnight. We heard shortly thereafter that it was a huge success and GJ hopes that a cable distribution deal is in the works, perhaps through Showtime. We will alert everyone through e-mail when it is picked-up for general television viewing. Congratulations GJ!!

More Late Breaking News sent in e-mail on 3-22-07 about GJ’s film. This American Life (!) will be airing an entire TV episode about GJ and the film: April 12th, at 10:30pm on Showtime with repeats throughout the week. Go here for info: www.sho.com/site/thisamericanlife/home.do , www.thislife.org ...this is an entirely new cut with a different focus than the feature length version, so it should be worth seeing even if you've already seen the film. Also, the film will be playing in the New York Underground Film Festival: Sunday, April 1st, at 7:00pm at the Anthology Film Archives, on 2nd Avenue and 2nd Street.
